There is something special about photographing a team that plays with both confidence and heart, and the Clover Hill High School Varsity Soccer team has plenty of both.

This year marked the second year in a row that I had the privilege of photographing the Clover Hill Varsity Soccer Media Day. As a Richmond sports photographer and high school senior photographer, I love capturing athletes in a way that highlights both their personality and their competitive spirit.

This team is especially meaningful to me for another reason.

My daughter Olivia is a junior on the Clover Hill High School varsity soccer team, and this is her third year playing at the varsity level. Watching her and her teammates grow into strong athletes and leaders has been incredible, and getting to document their season through photos is something I truly treasure.

Media Day is always one of the most exciting days of the season. The energy is high, the players are excited, and the entire team shows up ready to represent Clover Hill.

From confident individual portraits to team photos full of personality, this year's Media Day captured exactly what makes this group special. The players brought energy, confidence, and a strong sense of camaraderie that defines a great team.

One of the things I love most about photographing athletes is capturing the moment when they step in front of the camera and fully own who they are as competitors. These images become more than just photos. They represent a season of dedication, teamwork, and pride in their program.

A Team That Plays With Heart

One of the things that stood out most about the Clover Hill varsity soccer team this year was their team chemistry. There is a genuine connection between the players that you can feel right away.

There was a lot of laughter between shots, plenty of personality in front of the camera, and the kind of confidence that comes from a team that truly enjoys playing together.

Moments like these are exactly why I love photographing high school athletes. These seasons go by quickly, but the memories and friendships last far beyond the final game.
