Pas De Duex Photography Conference

Dance Portrait Sessions | Best Dance Photographer in Richmond, Virginia | 

I just got back from Phoenix, Arizona where I attended the most amazing dance photography conference called Pas de Deux. Over the past five years, I have photographed hundreds of dancers and have always tried to improve my artistic vision. When I found out that some of the best dance photographers in the world would be at Pas de Deux, including Rachel Neville, Sharkcookie, Jordan Matter and Jonathan Givens, I knew I had to attend. 

Not only did I learn about lighting and technique, I learned how to photograph the lines of a dancer to really showcase their form and skill. Over the course of the three days spent at Pas De Deux, I gained so much knowledge but also had so much fun! 

I met many inspiring photographers and got pictures with my absolute favorite dance photographer, Rachel Neville. My own three girls were a little disappointed and shocked that I didn't get a picture with Jordan Matter (who is infamously know for his "10 Minute Photo Challenges" as seen here), but there is always next year!!
