I’ve photographed many businesses, groups and organizations but out of all of them Prestige Dance Studio holds a very special place in my heart. The owner, Christy Burke, is the sweetest, kindest and most positive person to work with. She is beautiful both inside and out! She makes sure all her students, parents and teachers feel special and valued and that’s why teachers love working there and dancers love dancing there (including my own three girls). And that’s why I love photographing there!!!

This past season definitely came with some challenges due to COVID-19, but we were still able to hold our annual “Picture Week” and I honestly think it’s the best one we’ve had yet! Dancers were scheduled for 10 minute private sessions per costume and had very limited contact with other families. We had one entrance for arriving dancers and a separate exit, face masks were required and we were diligent about disinfecting all surfaces.

During a time when there is so much uncertainty and the lives of our kids look very different, these sessions gave dancers a chance to put on their stunning costumes, apply gorgeous makeup and even dance a little while capturing memories that will last for years to come!
