He’s an outdoorsy senior with a calm, genuine personality and spends his time playing guitar, working out, running track, and serving in his church community. He also works in the childcare area at American Family Fitness, which already says a lot about how responsible and thoughtful he is. A fun little surprise for me was finding out he goes to The Chapel, which is actually the same church my family and I attend.

Sean’s senior session took place at Midlothian Mines Park, one of my favorite outdoor locations in the Richmond area for senior portraits. The mix of tall grasses, trails, trees, and beautiful natural light always photographs so well. It’s a popular spot for Midlothian High School senior pictures because it gives a relaxed, outdoorsy feel that works especially well for guys. 

When his mom booked his senior portraits, she told me the one thing he really wanted included was his guitar. Those images ended up being some of my favorites. We used several areas around Midlothian Mines with soft light and natural texture so he could just be himself. Incorporating hobbies like guitar into senior photos is one of the best ways to make a gallery truly personal, and it worked perfectly for him.

Sean’s mom originally heard about me through her daughter’s dance photos at Legacy School of Dance, and it meant so much to work with their family again. Referrals like that mean the world to me and are such a big part of how families find me for senior photography in Richmond and Midlothian.
