Creative & Graceful-Maddie’s Senior Session at Maymont in Richmond VA

Photographing Maddie’s senior session was such a joy! She’s a senior at Colonial Heights High School and will be heading to Florida Southern College after graduation! From the moment we started her session at Maymont Park, it was clear she has a calm, creative energy that shines through in every photo.

Maddie is passionate about dance, reading, baking, and art—each interest adding to her thoughtful, artistic personality. You could see that creativity come through in the way she carried herself and how naturally she settled into each pose. She brought a quiet confidence that made the session flow beautifully.

We explored Maymont’s gardens, stone steps, and tucked-away paths to create a mix of soft, timeless portraits and images that felt fresh and fun. It’s always such a gift to photograph seniors who are not only celebrating their accomplishments but also dreaming big about what comes next.
