Elizabeth’s Senior Pictures at the Perfect Pick’s Flower Farm-Midlothian High School

From the very beginning of planning her senior session, Elizabeth knew she wanted flowers, tall grasses and beautiful outdoor pictures. The Perfect Picks Flower Farm ended up being the perfect setting to bring everything she had envisioned together.

Elizabeth is a senior at Midlothian High School, and I actually first photographed her through PDM Productions and Vibe Dance Complex. I always love getting to photograph my dancers again for their senior portraits because this time, the entire session gets to be about THEM.

Elizabeth loves show choir, dance, archery, country music and her church, and we wanted her senior pictures to feel natural, relaxed and genuinely like her.

For her session, Elizabeth chose a white dress from Altar’d State paired with cowboy boots, and it worked beautifully with the flowers and tall grasses around the farm. It was simple, feminine and completely her style.

We also incorporated her Bible into a few of her portraits. I love including something meaningful to a senior when it genuinely represents who they are at this point in their life. Those little details can end up creating some of the most personal images from the entire session.

As we moved around the flower farm, we took advantage of the different flowers, tall grasses and gorgeous natural light. I guided Elizabeth through posing throughout the session so nothing felt stiff or overly posed. My goal is always for my seniors to feel comfortable in front of the camera and still look like THEM in their final images.

We also made sure to capture Elizabeth’s yearbook portrait for Midlothian High School, so she was able to take care of that while also creating a completely different set of senior portraits that showed so much more of her personality.
