I’ve had the absolute joy of watching Courtney grow up in front of my camera. From her earliest dance recital portraits at Prestige Dance Studio to her senior session at Maymont Park, it has been such a privilege to capture these special moments in her life. I first met Courtney’s mom, Christy, through Prestige Dance Studio, and over the years, we’ve formed a friendship that I truly treasure. Christy is one of the kindest, sweetest people I know, always encouraging, thoughtful, and full of warmth. Working with her has been a joy, and having her support during Courtney’s sessions makes the experience even more meaningful.

Courtney herself is truly remarkable. She’s gorgeous inside and out, an exemplary student, a talented dancer, and a passionate show choir member. She pours her heart into everything she does, from perfecting dance routines and performing on stage to excelling academically. This past summer, she took on the responsibility of being a lifeguard, balancing her work with poise and dedication. Looking ahead, Courtney hopes to attend the University of Tennessee to pursue a degree in chemical engineering, an ambitious and inspiring goal that reflects her intelligence, curiosity, and determination.

For her senior session at Maymont Park, Courtney brought a beautiful selection of outfits that allowed her personality to shine through every look. From a classic white dress that captured timeless elegance, to a flowing blue floral long dress perfect for soft, romantic outdoor portraits, to a casual jeans and shirt look that revealed her playful, relaxed side, to a long white skirt paired with a rose-colored top for a sophisticated and polished vibe, and finally, a black and white dressy romper that added a bold, contemporary edge, each outfit highlighted a different part of who Courtney is.

Maymont Park provided the perfect backdrop for Courtney’s portraits. Its lush gardens, colorful flowers, and picturesque paths created a variety of moods and settings for her session. Courtney moved naturally through each outfit and location, radiating confidence, joy, and energy. It’s always a privilege to photograph seniors who feel at ease in front of the camera, and Courtney truly shone throughout her session.
