Behind the Lens: Capturing the Magic of The Nutcracker Sweet

If you have ever met Tristi Robinson, you know she is one of the most talented and passionate dance instructors. She actually won Dance Instructor of the Year and Outstanding Ballet Choreography through the RVA Dance Awards this past fall. As president and artistic director of the Nutcracker Sweet, Trisit directs this amazing Nutracker production every year and I have photographed it for the last number of years. “The Nutcracker Sweet” is an annual production that is made up of performers from all across Central Virginia, including the areas of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Louisa, Petersburg, Powhatan, Prince George and the City of Richmond. This production is so unique because performers range in age from 4 to 60 years young and have a variety of backgrounds and skill levels - from beginner all the way to professional. It truly is an incredible production both to watch and photograph!!
