Mason’s senior session at the University of Richmond was such a fun evening. The light was beautiful, and the campus looked incredible with its stone buildings, arches, and walkways surrounded by fall color. It was the perfect setting for a classic Richmond-style senior portrait session.

Mason is a senior at Deep Run High School in Glen Allen and a big fan of the Washington Commanders. He has an easygoing personality and was great in front of the camera, relaxed, confident, and up for anything. We explored a few areas around campus and captured a mix of natural and traditional portraits that show off his genuine smile and laid-back style.

This session was extra special for me because I’ve known Mason’s mom, Blair, for almost 20 years. She was actually the nurse who helped deliver my oldest daughter, Ella, and I’ll never forget her kindness and calm energy that day. Years later, she hired me to photograph her oldest son, Ryan, and it meant so much to now photograph Mason for his senior year. Seeing families come back year after year is one of my favorite parts of this job.
