Alyssa's Senior Session at Maymont Park-Manchester High School Senior Photographer

I’ve known Alyssa since our daughters danced together at Prestige Dance Studio, so somehow it doesn’t seem possible that I’m now sharing her senior pictures! I first met her years ago through dance, and it was so fun getting to spend an evening with her at Maymont Park, this time with Alyssa in front of my camera as a Manchester High School senior.

We chose Maymont for Alyssa’s senior session, and it gave us so many different looks throughout the evening. Between the gardens, beautiful greenery, stone pathways, and architecture, we were able to make each outfit feel a little different while still having everything flow together.

Alyssa brought a great mix of outfits—a white dress, floral dress, navy two-piece set, and a more casual top and jeans. I always love when seniors bring a combination of dressier and more casual looks because it gives us so much variety and lets their final gallery feel like more than just one session.

Dance has been a big part of Alyssa’s life, and she also loves singing. Having known her through the dance world made this session feel a little extra special. There is something pretty crazy about watching these girls grow up and then suddenly they’re seniors getting ready for everything that comes next.

One of my favorite parts of senior photography is getting to create images that really feel like the person I’m photographing. I want seniors to have beautiful, polished portraits, but I also want their gallery to have personality and variety and to capture who they are during this season of their lives.

Alyssa, I had so much fun photographing your senior pictures and getting to be a small part of your senior year! I can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
